In this role, you will be involved in various domains, including multichannel supply chain, complex retail systems in point of sale, finance, logistics, and transportation. You will be responsible for creating innovative solutions and applications using cutting-edge technology, contributing to process streamlining through innovation. Walmart continually redefines how it saves customers’ money across retail stores, online platforms, and mobile devices, emphasizing unexpected and impactful ways.
Responsibilities:
- Work on diverse technologies and platforms such as Java, Hadoop, Cassandra, ERP, Middleware tools, low latency messaging systems, machine learning, and open-source frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise People Technology team to support the successful deployment of new People technology across the enterprise.
- Contribute to building and maintaining critical systems, including the largest private customer database, master data for items, supply chain support for online and offline channels, mobile development for enhanced user experiences, security frameworks, integration layers, the world’s largest private cloud, large-scale distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, high-performance scalable and reliable systems, and massive in-memory databases.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, set to graduate in 2024.
- Attained a combined aggregate score of 7 or above across all semesters.
- Proficient understanding of fundamental areas of Computer Science, including Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, and Design.
- Strong command of at least one programming language – C/C++/Java.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective action plans.
- Self-driven and motivated with an entrepreneurial passion, ready to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with diverse responsibilities.
