Responsibilities:
- Full-stack Java development, taking ownership of all software product elements.
- Collaborating with a paired partner to deliver user stories and contribute to valuable working software products.
- Creating automated tests to confirm software functionality, user story acceptance, and to detect regression defects.
- Monitoring continuous integration build status and addressing build failures.
- Enhancing continuous integration tooling to automate manual processes and improve quality gates.
- Reviewing and troubleshooting ongoing production software operations.
- Implementing monitoring tools for application performance metrics, with automatic notifications for production failures.
- Conducting exploratory testing to confirm application execution and identify software deficiencies not covered by automated tests.
- Active participation in Agile ceremonies and management of the long-term delivery roadmap.
- Screening candidates for placement onto product teams.
- Guiding and coaching other software engineers on product teams.
- Organizing team learning events.
- Selection of architecture direction with input from the architect.
Requirements:
- Experience in JAVA EE development, Microservices, and Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- Proficiency in Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks commonly used by agile developers, including Java web components, REST, Web services, Struts, Spring Boot, Angular JS, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Sonargraph, FindBugs, Eclipse or IntelliJ, CA central (Rally), and GIT.
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture and Agile principles.
